Yep, I'm posting pictures from Ty's school VALENTINES PARTY and it's mid March, but better late than never, right?

This is when he showed me the awesome Mr. Incredible at his school for the first time-loves it! (His best bud Ramsey(or should I say his great Mom, Ms. Tara ;)) bought him one for his bday!

I know, I know! It's been awhile since I've made a post lol. I honestly have tried, but it wouldn't download pictures so I couldn't post! I've heard that you shouldn't make a post unless you include pictures ;)

So without further addue(sp?) here are the pictures from Ty's 2nd, 3rd birthday party :) We had to reschedule the first one due to snow, but thanks to everyone who showed up for the 2nd one! Ty was so happy to have all his friends and Mommy and Daddy were super excited that Ty was happy :)

I absolutely am so sad that I didn't get a picture of all us girls this night! We had a kind of impromptu girls night b/c our friends Sheila and Shahla are getting ready to move to Maryland. We realized that we had not seen them in a YEAR!!! It was such a fun time to just reminisce and relax and let our babies play. LOVE ALL THESE GIRLS WITH ALL MY HEART AND SOUL!!!!

Every year we get together with Tom's Mom's side of the family to make Tom's Mom Nancy's famous sugar cookie cutouts. This year we were honored to host the party! It was our first big family get together at our new house and I think it went rather well if I do say so myself :) Now if we had only had our new furniture to sit on lol....family had to bring FOLDING CHAIRS! Great memories! :)

MOVE IN DAY

The first couple pictures are the pictures I took the first morning we woke up in our new house :) I woke up and thought it had snowed, but not so much lol.....just frost! But it was still beautiful!

Our view from the back of the house! LOVE that there's no obstructed view(meaning NO HOUSES in the way lol). This picture in particular reminds me of the view I had growing up in Illinois-just wide open spaces!

Day we moved in.....new furniture should be delivered Monday!

There were several other people that helped throughout our move process and although I didn't get pictures of them, I have to say what a huge blessing they were! (You know who you are! Thank you for making it possible!)

So I didn't post yesterday because it was a little crazy lol. To start the morning off, Tom fell down the stairs while holding Ty. Soooo scary!!!! I came around the corner thinking that just Ty had fallen(that was scary enough!), but then I saw that Tom was lying on the floor too :( To make matters worse, it took him a second to respond(he said he was still so tired he was trying to collect himself before he responded lol) so I thought he had gotten knocked out!!!!! Turns out, they were both fine(Tom's shoulder is a little sore) but Ty is perfectly fine! Thank you JESUS!!! Next time, I will get Ty from the stairs ;)

Yesterday we had a play date with Monica, Teo and Eva and it was such a blast! Ty and Teo were a riot! Eva is A-dorable! Getting to that really cute age where they smile at you and try and 'talk' to you. Makes me want another one :) The boys were running all over the place, jumping on our bed(Teo hit his head on got a boo boo-what is that song 'Monkeys jumping on the Bed'? lol, going up and down the stairs and discovering Ty's Christmas toys that we thought we had hidden lol :) ahhhh!!! Monica showed me how to lock that bedroom door until we can relocate the toys. Then around lunch time Mac and Hattie joined us. The boys were definately interested in whatever Hattie was doing ;) So cute! Looking forward to having many more play dates and get togethers here. Having other people over helps make our house a home. Love making memories!

Yesterday was fun to me and we really didn't even do a whole lot. We went to Church and then my sister and Mom came over and hung out while Tom and Ty took a nap. We made coffee and chatted(Mac is trying to help me find just the right mixture of milk, sugar etc so I will want to drink coffee at home more often instead of spending $5/day!!! ridiculous! Tom was NOT happy lol ;)The coffee shop at our Church is my FAV(and a large iced coffee was only $3 including tip!) but it doesn't have hours during the week anymore so I've been going to Starbucks). I also made chili for dinner. It was nice to just relax in the house and feel at HOME. Then Mac invited me to go to a movie with her and a friend last night. We saw 'Blind Side'. It was good.

We finished Ty's round of medicine on Saturday for his sickness(bronchitis/asthma). He seemed fine all day yesterday(except his cheeks were REALLY rosy-we didn't know if it was from the medicine or they were just chapped). He started coughing again though after we put him to bed and around 3am he woke up. We gave him a breathing treatment and that seemed to help. Just praying we'll be TOTALLY DONE with the cough ASAP.

Looking forward to this week and all the adventures ahead!

'Writing' his list to Santa

I made an apt. for Ty to see Santa at Phipps(this was our second year going to Phipps and it was WELL worth the hassle of making the apt. etc). Ty loved him! He's never been scared so I didn't go into it thinking he would be, but you just never know. When it was his turn, he walked a few steps, hesitated, then got right up on his lap. He told Santa exactly what he wanted: a Hummer(powerwheels in case you were confused;) Daddy wants the real Hummer :)), a dump truck and some coloring books. The Santa at Phipps is so real looking! Even Tom was mesmerized :)

Thanksgiving 2009

New home! Thank you Lord!

It has been over a year since I've last blogged!, but after getting encouragement from my friend Tara(she is a regular blogger and very knowledgeable :)), I decided to start writing again!

So I guess I need to update everyone on the most recent events....

We just moved into our new house about a week ago. I can't mention our new home without saying we PRAYED AND PRAYED for this house! We found it several months ago and from the minute we walked in, we fell in love. It was a LONG process, but we are so thankful to God that He made it possible!!!

On another note, the same day we moved in, Ty(who by the way, will be THREE in February! ahhh! How did the time go by so fast?!) got sick. It was just a cough(or so I thought) so I didn't think much about it. But by Tuesday, I decided I better take him in to the Dr.. We took him in and they initially thought he had PNEUMONIA! But after listening to his chest and having a chest xray done, they concluded it was bronchitis. However, after going back in the next day(b/c we were up all night with him coughing), the Dr. thinks it might have been a little spell of asthma and bronchitis. He said sometimes with this kind of cold weather, it can cause an asthma bout. We're all praying it doesn't become a regular occurence. The Dr. (Dr. Tom Ryan, the BEST pediatrician in the world! :)) is going to just monitor him throughout the winter. He finished his last dose of medicine last night and seems to be doing well so we will just keep praying he stays healthy!

It seems like this holiday season has gotten cut in half b/c of us moving etc...Usually we have our tree up and the place decorated the day after Thanksgiving. But because of the move, we weren't able to get our tree until yesterday. We found a really nice 10 ft tree(it's the biggest one we've ever had!). It was a little more difficult to decorate than our normal 7ft tree, but well worth the effort :) It definately makes the house look more homey with all the Christmas decorations.

Update on the Young Family!

WOW!! I can't believe the last time I posted it was EASTER!!! This year has flown by! Everyone says once you have kids that happens....they were right! Let's see....well since I wrote last we've moved to Cartersville(my hometown). We've been here for about 3 months and are pretty much settled. I actually heard Tom say the other day that he LIKES living here! Never thought I would have heard that! (When we were dating we use to say we'd NEVER live in Cartersville lol). I LOVE being near my sister, mom and grandma.

Ty is almost 19 months!!! Walking, running, attempting to jump :)...he's actually getting hard to keep up with now! He LOVES to eat(just like his Daddy :). He LOVES other kids...he likes to pat their heads-funniest thing we've seen! He is talking like I've never heard an 18 month old talk! Funny, but we've had someone actually tell us he needs to be tested for gifted! (He's not even in school yet! haha) We bought him a potty last weekend and he pooped in it that same day!!! BUT, I'm trying to not get ahead of myself...there was a list on babycenter.com that tells you when your child is ready to potty train and he's got about half the list. I'm just letting him get comfortable with it. He loves to sit on it! What a big boy now!

Our business is going really well! We're so thankful for all the opportunities God gives us to serve other people! I'm doing skin analysis now and loving it! Such a fun time!

As you can tell, Ty is getting sooo big! He will be 10months this coming Sunday!!! Just in time to meet his Uncle Petie for the first time next Thursday!
